Introducing the Go Green Leasing Fund

This month, Go Green Leasing has launched the Go Green Fund, which will see £500 donated on a quarterly basis to grassroots, sustainable businesses and intitiatives across the UK. And we've already gifted our first fund...

As well as being able to offer fantastic deals on many different vehicle financing options, we are dedicated to minimising both our own and our customer's carbon footprint and strive towards becoming carbon neutral. To minimise our own ecological impact, we’ve sprouted several green initiatives and are proud to announce the launch of the Go Green Fund, this August.

A quarterly fund for sustainability projects in the UK, the Go Green fund launched with a £500 donation to Make Liverpool – a creative-led organisation with a host of co-working spaces across Liverpool. Make Liverpool not only offers working spaces for makers and doers, but provides them with invaluable business support too.

Headed up by brother and sister team Liam and Alex Kelly, and co-founder Kirsten Little, Make Liverpool's north docks venture sits at the heart of Liverpool's engine room, surrounded by relics of the city's maritime heritage.  A much needed destination for makers and doers of all ages, Make Liverpool provides the facilities for crafters to create - all for an affordable monthly membership fee. Providing the space and tools for skills such as wood working and metal working, it's the only space in the city where you can not only put your skills to good use, but the team also run classes and workshops to help you to hone your skills.

Eddie Shaw, CEO of Go Green Leasing, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Go Green Fund by supporting the guys over at Make Liverpool. We were really impressed by the work that they’ve done to date in North Liverpool and the Baltic Triangle and we’re sure that the money will be put to great use supporting a growing and sustainable maker movement in Liverpool.”

Alex Kelly, co-director of Make Liverpool, said: “We are delighted that Go Green has chosen us as the first recipient of the Go Green Fund. This £500 will make an enormous difference as we'll use the cash to sponsor an introduction to welding class, and pay for a six-month membership to our workshop, for someone who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. It is great that the money came from such an ethically-minded company too.”
